Submission Guidelines

Here's how to submit your story by e-mail:

1    Save your fic as a .txt file. If you know any HTML, you can include italics, bold, and underline tags, as well as paragraph breaks. If you don't know HTML, just send it as a text file, and use /slashes/ to indicate italics, *asterisks* to indicate bold, and _underscores_ to indicate underlining. Please leave a blank line between paragraphs for ease in reading.

2    At the top of your .txt file, include the following header with all applicable information:

Title:
Author:
Author Website: if you don't have one or don't want to make it public, just skip this
Genre: gen or slash; if your story has some het themes in it, note that here!
Team(s): if this is about a minor league team, include the affiliated major league team in parentheses after
Character(s): include all major characters in your story. this is kind of a judgement call on your part, but if a character only has two lines, I wouldn't include him
Pairing(s): if there aren't any, just type none or n/a here
Rating: see description of ratings on the front page. Include any warnings for kink or non-con here.
Disclaimer:
Summary: either a 1-2 line excerpt, or a short summary or whatever, but this is required.

3    Open your e-mail, and create a new message with the subject "Baseball Fic Archive Submission." Include the .txt file as an attachment. If you have multiple stories, you can send them all together, each story as a different .txt file. Include the header(s) for your story(s) in the body of your e-mail.

4    Send your e-mail to griffen@gmail.com .

5    I'll e-mail you to let you know I got your submission, and let you know about any problems with it. I'll e-mail you again when your stories go live. Please be patient as right now I'm doing this all by hand!

If you have any questions about e-mail submission, you can send a preliminary e-mail to us asking those questions.

A few rules!    If you're submitting a series, you can either put them all as one .txt file (they'll be published all on one HTML page on the archive), or as separate .txt files (they'll show up as separate HTML pages on the archive), with the acknowledgement they're a series in the body of the e-mail.

Please let me know in the body of the e-mail if the story you're sending me is a sequel to another story already in the archive so I can archive them together.

The archive does not accept works in progress, or RPG "tags." Sorry!
